I’m delighted to introduce my new Mitchellero Peru range - Available in all of the most popular sizes!

A blend of Nicaraguan and Peruvian leaf long filler, handmade in Nicaragua, Mitchellero Peru is a slightly bolder, more complex blend, that retains a similar structure to our original Mitchellero Nicaragua range.

  • Woody undertone, nutty with espresso notes, becoming more pronounced as the cigar progresses. The Peruvian leaf contributes a dark chocolate note on the palate.

Reviews

Customers say
Customers generally find the Mitchellero Peru Novellini to be a very pleasant smoke, offering surprising complexity and smooth flavors for its price point. While some note an initial sweetness or a slightly hot burn towards the end, these are often considered minor points against its overall quality and value.
Best suited for those seeking a flavorful and well-constructed cigar that offers excellent value, particularly if you appreciate a journey from sweet to spicy notes.

An update on my review of 8th August for this cigar. I was contacted by CGars regarding my review which outlined a poor specimen which I had received. I was offered a replacement of refund. No quibble. I took the replacement which arrived quickly. This is what I like about CGars staff. Excellent service and a genuine commitment to its customers. Many thanks Hayley. Regards Simon

Picked this up as a £10 special from C.Gars, which is fitting given the Mitchellero line is Mitchell Orchant’s own house brand. At 4” x 60 it’s a stubby, almost comically thick little thing, and I went in expecting a quick, forgettable smoke. It turned out to be neither. The Peru line is handmade in Nicaragua from a blend of Nicaraguan and Peruvian long-filler, and that Peruvian component does something genuinely interesting to the profile. The wrapper is a dark, oily natural leaf with decent tooth. Cold draw gave up raisin and a bit of barnyard. Construction was spot on — no soft spots, and while a 60 ring gauge can draw loose, this one had just enough resistance. The first third opens with cocoa and a coffee-grounds bitterness in the good sense, with black pepper on the retrohale that settles after ten minutes. The middle third is where it earns its keep: cedar comes forward, the pepper recedes, and a leathery, faintly sweet core sits underneath. The final third builds in richness — more espresso, a touch of dried fruit — without tipping into harshness or ammonia, which is usually where budget Nicaraguans come undone. Even burn, firm grey ash, and plenty of smoke. Around 40 minutes taking it slowly. Medium to full, so not a morning cigar, but ideal when you haven’t got the hour-plus a Toro demands. One caveat on the name: this is Nicaraguan-made with Peruvian tobacco in the blend, not a Peruvian puro. At a tenner, though, it’s hard to argue with — comfortably outperforming its price bracket, and I’d happily take a bundle.

Mitchellero Peru Novellini Purchased one of these recently from CGars as I like the Mitchellero line. Unfortunately this particular one was very disappointing. It unravelled almost immediately from a shallow guillotine cut. It took three or four puffs to get any smoke through. I persevered but it was almost impossible to smoke as the cigar unravelled even more and at the end of the first third I gave up. Sorry to give a negative review as my dealings with CGars are normally very good.

Messy flaky ash, short finish, inconsistent burn line, wood and earth start to finish with no deviation. Its not unpleasant its just uninteresting.
