Your conclusion, of course, is brilliant: you blame the spirit not for what it tastes like, but for who endorses it. One wonders — had you discovered it was favoured by Churchill, would you have declared it Churchillian and poured yourself a second? Or would that have caused another episode? This Bourbon was nasty! I literally threw up after the first sip, poured the rest down the sink. It was that bad. Found out after, Hillary Clinton endorses Makers Mark which caused me to throw up again.

On the nose we perceive caramel and sugar aromas with hints of vanilla and fruits. The palate is more savoury than expected, with toasted almonds and cinnamon flavours. Light finish with a slight vanilla sweetness and lots of spice. I would recommend this iconic bourbon for mixing.
