  • With its distinctive elegance and flavour profile, Lagavulin is without a doubt one of the most beloved Scotch whiskies in the world.

The original production site dates from 1816, when John Johnston and Archibald Campbell Brooks constructed two distilleries on Islay’s south coast.

In 2016 Lagavulin celebrated their 200th anniversary producing a number of limited-edition bottlings, including this 25-year-old expression.

A stunning 200th Anniversary release with the names of all the serving distillery managers over its history on the bottle and 100% aged in Ex-Sherry casks and limited to only 8000 bottles.

Please note as this is a vintage bottle, conditions of bottle/label and liquid level can vary - Some years can vary as estimations only (example: estimated 1970s/80s).
  • Nose: Sea-salted maritime aromas blend with soy-marinated seafood, opening to sherry-soaked prunes, aromatic cigar ash and cool menthol. Anise notes rise against sooty-peppery oak, while old tea chests and rich ginger cake weave warmth and depth.

Palate: Tarry, dark peat coats the palate with gunpowder tea and peppery smoke, while black liquorice threads through smoked meats. Earthy bracken mingles with savoury seafood hints—oyster sauce and stout—leaving a saline, seaside finish that lingers and grows in depth.

Finish: Dark minty tea lingers with sooty anise, cured meat and smoked seafood, salty rock pools with bbq embers — long and brooding.
