Crafted exclusively from Concerto and Publican barley grown and harvested on the farm in 2014 and 2015, the Kilchoman 100% Islay 15th Edition is a true single farm single malt.
As the folk over at Bruichladdich complete their 2025 barley harvest, they're delighted to release the 15th Edition of the 100% Islay range.
This year’s 9 year old release is a vatting of 54 ex-bourbon barrels distilled from our 2014 and 2015 Concerto and Publican barley harvests.
Islay-grown barley and a slightly lower peating level create a more viscous palate, with elevated citrus and malty notes compared to Machir Bay and Sanaig.
Bottled at 50% abv, it also carries a little more intensity.
Nose: Layers of vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch from the casks complement the distillery’s characteristic citrus sweetness and maritime peat smoke.
Palate: The smoke from the nose continued, and leads to a complex palate of milk chocolate, candied citrus, ripe pear.
Finish: A lingering, smoky finish.
