I enjoyed this, but it was bordering on a little too strong for me. No issues with construction or burn - mine lasted about an hour and twenty minutes and didnÂ’t go out, although I was getting a little heady by the end and wasnÂ’t overly sad when it did. I didnÂ’t really get chocolate flavours like other reviewers - more subtle variations on leather and walnut - but the smoke was thick and plentiful with a nice mouth feel. Not a bad cigar by any means, and it certainly packs a punch, but for me personally it was a little too full-on to warrant another purchase.

Im really new to cigars and have tried a few. I selected a few for a road trip and this one fitted the criteria for good price.
Id had one the day before of almost double the price and struggled with its tight draw and burn, but had this today and I regretted having to stop.
It lights well, burns very even with a good solid Ash that actually felt like it snapped off when I rolled it off. I never had to relight and the flavour was light, and enjoyable with only a slight burn to the lips right at the end due in sure to the heat.
This is an absolute gem for the price and Im getting more.

This cigar is great for the price!
From the first quarter till the last the flavour is amazing.
I mainly tasted a milk chocolate flavour from the second quarter until the last quarter.
I only had to relight once throughout my whole smoke.
My smoking time was 1 hour.
Definitely going to be buying again, like I said 100% worth the price!

I agree with my fellow reviewer, Daniel on most of his review.
So look below.
ItÂ’s a great size and the construction and feel looks superb.
I havenÂ’t had ANY of the Joya range so, IÂ’d advise you take take my review on this cigar with some salt and I am basing it on this experience alone.
I got this in my sub box, and as, Daniel said, we got some big cigars and big names, and this cigar looks more expensive than it is.
IÂ’ll go to the proÂ’s first.
Good construction.
Good flavour of cedar and very earthy with cocoa tones.
It lasted me shy of an hour, the little leaflet says 45 mins but thatÂ’s very quick smoking in my eyes.
It is value for money.
I havenÂ’t got a lot of cons, but only one or two. Like my fellow reviewer, it was a chore to keep burning. Not a bad chore, but it was enjoyable and for the time I smoked it, I shouldnÂ’t complain.
The burn for me was uneven, but for my own part I always say IÂ’m a sloppy lighter and after so long IÂ’m always learning to light better, so some touch ups were required as I smoked on.
My issue was the end, my cigar wrapper flaked away a bit. Now, IÂ’m not one to give up on a cigar that decides to unravel, so like the champ I am, I continued and by my last two inches ( I assume, I donÂ’t carry a tape measure with me) the V cut I made became a little spongy.
The smoke wasnÂ’t as heavy as IÂ’m used too, but this could just this cigar of The Joya range and I havenÂ’t had enough experience with these cigars to say otherwise.
For the most part until the end was a pleasant experience with some minor hiccups.
Not a bad cigar by any standard, but one I would recommend?
IÂ’m so-so on this but I do want to explore the range further and see whatÂ’s available.
I paired with a simple bourbon with some ginger ale and a slice of orange, and I still got hit with some distinctive flavours which were very nice.
Just the end let it down, hence four stars out of five.
I think for the price, and the length and RG you canÂ’t go too wrong even with the minor issues I had.
Give it a try, for the money itÂ’s a bargain and if you have issues, just donÂ’t get the same cigar.
IÂ’m just happy I tried a cigar that I wouldnÂ’t have chosen myself.

Looking up cigars you get as part of a subscription box is a strange juxtaposition. I want to find out that each one is some super valuable gem that makes the box better value. But also fingers in are crossed that enjoyable stocks are well proved enough to bring them into regular rotation.
This is one I expected to be closer to twenty than fifteen quid. Turns out its a tenner and change. I shouldnt be surprised with the number of notable names in this months box, but this seriously smokes like a. Stick costing at least double.
Negatives? There are some. The first half I struggled to keep it lit. I have a tendency to over smoke cigars. This one seemed to want to peeter out even if I put it down long enough to take a sip of the rather lovely Japanese whiskey which is pairing nicely with it. A good hard few puffs heated it up and made me concerned it would go soft and bitter.
Ive found a nice cadence that is keeping it perfect, but its fast even for me. The ash that held to more than two thirds - without being gentle - helped keep the cherry warm. However I would doubt this would suit a slow smoker. It also meant the chunky size still burned down at a speedy yet steady rate.
Perfect for my chosen event of a seat around the fire at a wedding. No ash tray to rest, instead, happily puffing whilst people tell stories with the aforementioned whiskey as well as a good beer to hand.
The nub was reached in just under an hour. Flavour only increased in creamy smoothness, malty, with a touch of spice, and a big smile knowing I will be able to repeat at my leisure with only a tenner changing hands. In return a meaty almost savoury big smoke that looks and tastes expensive.
