A big sherried 17 year old with loads of character and depth, just what we've come to expect from the distillery.
Glenfarclas 17-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky earned a score of 93 points from Wine Enthusiast and from the Beverage Testing Institute.
Nose: Complex, with distinctive butterscotch, rich sherried fruit and peat smoke aromas.
Flavour: Unsurprisingly big and full-flavoured, with an excellent balance to it. Developing slowly, full of sherry sweet malty tones, and a touch peat smoke.
Finish: Long lasting and smooth, with just a hint of spice and sherry sweetness.
Jim Murray has scored this Glenfarclas 17 Year Old 94.5/100 in his 2020 Whisky Bible, describing it as having ‘A dram for those with a patient disposition'.
