The new GlenAllachie 15 Year Old hich is now being rolled out across UK and international markets, is described by Master Distiller Billy Walker as the perfect representation of the distillery’s DNA.
He believes the 15 year old is an exceptional balance of the distillery’s spirit and the influence of the Sherry casks used during maturation.
Two types of Sherry casks – Pedro Ximenez (PX) and Oloroso puncheons and hogsheads – were chosen to deliver depth and finish to the whisky, and to add notes that enhance the distinctive butterscotch and chocolate flavours of The GlenAllachie spirit.

Nose: Rhubarb, cranberry and strawberries. Caramel, red apples and pencil shavings round off the experience. Water reveals chocolate, uncooked pastry and a jammy quality.
Palate: Very sweet, and has that modern thrust and texture of a sherry cask finish. Dried fruits, raspberries, strawberries and cranberries.
Finish: A drying finish with elements of tobacco. Water unlocks a little rubber and more sweetness.
