A rare old Highland malt from Glen Mhor Distillery aged for 8 years, bonded and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail Elgin.
Glen Mhor was established in Inverness in 1892 by John MacKinlay and John Birnie, a former distillery manager at Glen Albyn who had left after being refused a share in the distillery by owners Gregory & Co.
The name (pronounced Glen Vawr) means 'Great Glen' and production began in 1894.

Nose: Refreshing apples with plenty more refreshing fruits. In addition, cereals and some spice from pepper.
Palate: Robust, only very little fruit, but some bitter flavours. Cheesecake, roasted malt, peat smoke and a little tarragon.
Finish: Long and many bitter substances, caramel and currants.
