La Flor Dominicana El Carajon Cigar - 1 Single

I had high hopes for this cigar but was alas disappointed. It lights well, and burns very well but the wrapper started unravelling immediately. I had not cigar glue, and this spoiled my enjoyment no end. The flavour was up and down throughout the 30-minute smoke time, sometimes smooth and flavoursome, then harsh and unpleasant. I don't know if this was because of the poor build quality of my cigar. Perhaps I was unlucky in getting a poorly-made one, and I may have enjoyed it more if I'd had some cigar glue to repair it. I might try it again at some point, but based on this experience alone, it was not value for money.

No sweetness. No floral notes. Just a taste of bitter burning vegetation. Possibly the worst cigar Ive tasted in 50 years.

Such a little gem. I really enjoyed this small cigar, that despite the small size gave me almost 40 minutes of pleasant smoke. The construction is superb: good looking wrapper, perfect draw, and the ash hold half way through the cigar. I love the dry smell of this cigar. It started very light but enjoyable, the second half was very good. The taste became more intense and slightly complex, and the smoke was never hot and the taste never bitter. Definitely recommend and I will keep a few of those in my humidor for an easy yet enjoyable smoke alone or when I want to offer a cigar to someone that is not a regular smoker.

Impressive budget cigar and would happily smoke again as nothing to complain about from start to finish. Note it does not come cellophane wrapped.

Wow! What a great value cigar this is for the price! The wrapper is one of the best I have experienced - very robust and contributes to an even burn with almost two inches of ash before it departed. Well packed and a cool smoke, its surprisingly sweet without being at all sickly. Wonderful flavours of toasted almonds a lightly burnt/biscuity caramel, reminiscent of those little stroopwafels one can enjoy with a coffee all topped off with a light pepperiness. As you progress, youre rewarded with additional undertones of chocolate and a touch of vanilla. Word of warning though if you do not smoke full-bodies cigars often...this was a little deceptive in that despite being full of flavour, for me it seemed lighter than my go-to cubans (Romeo Y Julietta puritos) but the strength caught me a little off guard at the end...glad I was stretched out on the sofa! All in all a very enjoyable way to spend 50 minutes and would definitely recommend.
