Fresh off the recent launch of its Prohibition Collection, today Buffalo Trace is lifting the curtain on its 2023 Antique Collection.

The Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC) is an annual release of limited-edition, highly sought-after whiskies produced by the Buffalo Trace Distillery.

Buffalo Trace is a renowned American whiskey distillery known for producing a wide range of whiskies, including bourbon and rye, under various brand names. Its most notable whiskey is perhaps Pappy Van Winkle, however, the distillery is also the home of popular whiskies such as Blanton’s, Eagle Rare, Weller and E.H. Taylor.

The BTAC is typically released in the fall of each year and consists of several different expressions, each with its own unique characteristics.

The whiskies in the collection are highly regarded by collectors, enthusiasts and connoisseurs due to their exceptional quality, rarity and complexity.

The 2023 release of Eagle Rare 17 Year is particularly notable for being the oldest Eagle Rare ever in the Antique Collection (19 years and 3 months).

It's distinguished by its complex aroma, and the palate's emphasis on spice and aged oak, combined with a unique "dusty" characteristic that's reminiscent of much older bourbons.

This rare bourbon is a refined example of high-aged bourbon excellence, only available in small quantities once a year, every fall.
