Doorly's Rum is a premium Bajan rumn made by R L Seale & Co, one of Barbados’ oldest trading houses. Made at the Foursquare distillery in Barbados.
The Doorlys 12 Year Old Rum is a blend of rums, 90% is aged for 12 years in Kentucky Bourbon and 10% is aged for 12 years in Madeira cask.
The 12 year old carries a picture of the rare Spix's Macaw on the label, this Doorly's 12 Year Old is top stuff from a top range. Rich and sweet with notes of tropical fruit and toffee apples.
Nose: Medium-weight and elegant. There is some nuttiness present which then leads towards a rich and perfumed sweetness, acacia honey, mango.
Palate: Soft and subtle with a vanilla-laden complexity. Baked banana, sweet raisins and sultanas with a hint of walnut.
Finish: Long and sweet. Tangerine is noticeable throughout.
