Doorly's XO Rum, a six year old blend of Rums from Barbados.
With a rare Blue Hyacinth Macow on the label, Doorly's XO is finished in an Oloroso sherry cask which adds lovely character. Doorly's is also blended with rums aged from 6 to 12 years old.
Wonderfully approachable and versatile. Beautiful rum for sipping as you would a malt whisky or brandy, but also a great base for cocktails
As with all Doorly's rums, this is bottled without tha addition of any sweetener or flavourings
Made at Foursquare Rum Distillery in St Philip, Barbados, one of the few remaining independent family owned producers in the Caribbean.
Nose: Medium-weight and elegant. Some nuttiness presents itself as then rich perfumed sweetness: acacia honey and mango. Full, complex and sweet.
Palate: A subtle, vanilla-laden complexity. Baked banana, sweet raisin, sultana and a hint of walnut as overall, soft and elegant. A great balance.
Finish: Long and sweet with tangerines.
