Don Ramos, hand made in Honduras is primarily made for UK consumption. Nicely balanced mild to medium-bodied cigar.
Honduras, in Central America, also has ideal climatic conditions for growing cigar tobacco, a tradition that has existed here for many centuries. The spicy flavours and aromas that characterise this tobacco give Honduran cigars a wide following.
The reason I'm posting a review is a purchased this cigar about 4 weeks ago and just smoking it now, had to search it to see how much I paid as I am really impressed and when I seen the price it has definitely been added to my day to day 'go to' cigar, well constructed, even burn, good amounts of smoke, perfect draw, lovely light flavours with a medium after taste and a beautiful sweet classic cigar aroma...really impressed with this cigar and even more so that I've just logged on to see price...repeat order!

A very pleasant smoke. Slightly spicy and with a nice sweet flavour as it burns down.
Cigar was generally good construction, altough wrapper started to come off a bit when cut and burn was slightly uneven to begin with.
Draw was just right and a nice amount of smoke.
Flavour was not the most complex ive ever tasted but what I really liked about this was that sweet aroma and taste. Great value for money.

Buckets and buckets of smoke from a very easy draw (almost too easy for me). Full of flavour from the first puff until being extinguished. Construction was a tiny bit hit and miss but overall very good. The wrapper had been damaged a small bit but still smoked well. One vein caused a bit of an uneven burn but nothing significant. Very nice nicotine hit from this cigar, perfect for me – somewhere between medium and bold. Woody/cedar taste getting sweeter as it burned down, lasting 40 minutes. Probably deserving of 5 stars but I'm holding onto that last star for the cigars that absolutely blow me away! Definitely worth getting one to see for yourself.

An excellent value cigar. Good draw, slightly woody taste. Great smoke and smooth. Similar in many ways to a Davidoff Grand Cru No5. Definitely in my top 3 for cigars under £10. A bargain purchase.

My particular cigar of choice. I used to smoke the Don Ramos Churchill, then gave up smoking altogether for 6 years, put on 4 stone and thought "To hell with this" and restarted at Christmas. Lost 2 stone... but I am NOT claiming that smoking will help weight loss! This is a particularly pleasant flavoured, easy drawing cigar, well constructed and firmly rolled, with a great after-taste. I usually get about 2" of ash before it falls and has just the right amount of nicotine-hit, certainly recommended if a Cohiba makes you bounce off the walls! Great price from C. Gars Ltd. and even better if you buy the bundle from them.
