Nose: Fresh and malty. Rich creamy toffee and sweet honey, well balanced out with sweet oak and barley sugar.
Palate: Smooth creamy sweetness with sumptuous hints of fruit, malty honeyed spiciness and soft vanilla.
Finish: Crisp and satisfying with a hint of cloves which linger, before gradually fading out.
Jim Murray has scored this Deanston 12yo 1980s 75/100 in his 2020 Whisky Bible. ‘A brief moment of malty/orangey delight.
