This young whisky has been finished in new oak casks from Kentucky.
Deanston distillery are certified by the Organic Food Association and power their distillery using hydro energy, making them a great choice of whisky for the environment conscious drinker.
The taste of the new oak doesn't take over in this whisky at all.
Nose: Heady virgin oak bursting with lemon zest and sweet barley sugar with delicious notes of apple and nutmeg.
Palate: A delightful sweetness evoking memories of candied fruits and vanilla toffee balanced with heather honey.
Finish A satisfying light spice with a rewarding burst of honeyed malt and sweet oak.
