DAVIDOFF
Each and every Davidoff cigar is unique and distinct in flavour. Yet, they all have a familiar commonality that instinctively tells you – this is clearly a Davidoff. The reason? All of their cigars are handcrafted by experts with a passion to deliver a level of sophistication and refinement that allows each aficionado to fill his time beautifully.
To celebrate the Chinese New Year, Davidoff draws inspiration from the Chinese zodiac and presents an exclusive collection of limited edition products dedicated to the Year of the Tiger.
YEAR OF THE TIGER
Strong in spirit, the Tiger is always ready to seize an opportunity. The Davidoff Year of the Tiger Limited Edition cigar shares this nature. With flavours as bold as the Tiger’s personality, it also is a natural leader when it comes to quality and craft.
The sophisticated Year of the Tiger cigar blend is composed of three proprietary hybrid tobaccos from the Dominican Republic culminating in a new taste sensation. The cigar presents distinctive notes of cream, roasted nuts and honey. The limited edition cigar is presented in a 52 x 5½” piramides format with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper leaf.
For the first time in Davidoff’s history, Master Blenders have chosen a Connecticut wrapper for a limited edition. Through a natural treatment of the bright wrapper leaf with dark wetted tobacco veins placed crosswise on the leaf before rolling, the fur markings of the tiger come alive visually on the cigar. This process alone takes several days and requires great attention to detail.
FULL BOX PRESENTATION
The mighty Davidoff Year of the Tiger Limited Edition is presented adequately in a spectacular box of ten cigars with a transparent glass lid. Tree-shaped wood cuttings are visible underneath the glass panel, depicting the tiger's natural habitat: the jungle.
The golden tiger, dynamic, determined and ready to seize any opportunity, is discernable in the front, lurking behind a tree stalking its prey.
All boxes come with a red envelope, which can be used to hand out "lucky money", a Chinese tradition on special occasions such as New Year’s. The red colour represents good luck and best wishes for the year ahead.
The main aromas of the cigar are cream, roasted nuts and honey.
