The Dalmore 15 year old is smooth, rich and well rounded: the epitome of The Dalmore house style - A robust, yet elegant spirit.
This delicate and approachable vintage is initially matured for 12 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. The character is then achieved by splitting the whisky equally between three different sherry woods: Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem oloroso for a further three years.
The spirit is finally married together in an upstanding sherry butt, allowing the flavours to infuse.
Colour: Fresh copper. Nose: Generous and sweet with delicious toffee, medium sherry and ripe oranges with an aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg and orange marmalade. Palate: Mandarin, vanilla, ginger and crushed apples. Sherry and Christmas spices. Finish: Relatively long, nutty with hints of vanilla, yet more Christmas spices and oak.

Another pleasant Dalmore that coasts along the runway but simply fails to get off the ground. The odd off note here and there but it's the blood orange which shines the brightest. 40%

High-grade scotch, very smooth yet flavourful. Sweet and savoury with lots of interesting features. Quite delicious as expected from the Dalmore family, a very nice whisky with a rich and smooth taste. It's a beautifully velvety, balanced and enjoyable drink!
