Indulge in the refined elegance of Cragganmore 12-Year-Old, a distinguished member of Diageo's esteemed Classic Malts collection.
From the heart of Speyside, this single-malt whisky brings with it a symphony of rich, sherried nuances intertwined with delicate sweetness and enchanting floral undertones.
Nestling on the banks of the legendary salmon river, Cragganmore is, for many, the home of the definitive Speyside malt.
Aged in 2nd fill bourbon barrels, the whisky is slightly peated and is a component for blending in Johnnie Walker, White Horse, and Old Parr whiskies.
Hugely complex, rich with layers of flavour and a whiff of smoke in the finish.
Please note - bottle comes without original packaging - bottle only, price reflective.
Nose: A combination of sweet floral fragrances, riverside herbs and flowers with some honey and vanilla.
Palate: A strong malty taste with hints of sweet wood smoke and sandalwood.
Finish: A long, malt-driven finish with light smoke and hints of sweetness.
I have a dozen bottles of Cragganmore in my personal cellar dating from the early 90s when the distillery was first bottled as a Classic Malt. Their astonishing dexterity and charm, their naked celebration of all things Speyside, casts a sad shadow over this drinkable but drab and instantly forgettable expression.
