Reviews

Customers say
Customers are quite divided on the J. Cortes High Class Honduran Cigar. While some appreciate its excellent value and surprisingly pleasant flavour for the price, many others found it to be poorly constructed with an uneven burn and often a bitter or flavourless profile, especially in the latter half. It appears to be a polarizing smoke, with experiences varying significantly.
Best suited for budget-conscious smokers looking for a casual, short smoke, particularly if you are open to a milder profile and understand that quality can be inconsistent.

The J Cortes Orange Tubed Corona was a proper sit-down smoke for me, lasting around an hour, maybe a touch more. I liked the flavour, smooth but with enough depth to keep it interesting. It comes ready-punched, which makes life easier, and the nicotine kick is strong, so it’s not something I’d hand to a beginner. For the price though, it’s excellent value, and the fact it comes tubed means you don’t really need a humidor if you plan to smoke it within a year or so. I enjoyed mine out in the garden with a vodka and some coconut water ice cubes, a surprisingly good match for me personally. Overall, a solid cigar when you’ve got the time to relax.

For the price you can't really go wrong on this cigar. I have smoked cigars triple or more in price and not as good. Earth, wood and black tea with a touch of spice I got from this cigar. For me it was an enjoyable 45 minute smoke as it comes pre cut so no faffing around with a straight burn line and no touch ups needed.

This cigar was surprisingly good for a budget cigar. I paired it with a smoked coffee and they complimented each other brilliantly. It was a smooth draw, even burn with lots of smoke (which i love). The retro hale gives a lovely white pepper taste and a mild but nice creamy finish in the mouth. Its not a complex cigar as it shouldnt be for £7 and machine rolled. Lasted 50 mins and left me feeling relaxed and calm. This is the only budget brand i have found that i enjoy. I usually smoke £15-25 pound cigars but honestly i will buy more of these just as a cheap mid week smoke.

So I bought this cigar the other day purely out of impulse, I’d popped down to the local cigar specialist and bought a few cigars and had a few pounds left over so took a completely blind shot on one of these!! When I got home I came straight onto CGars to see if there was any reviews on this cigar and needless to say was pretty disappointed when the reviews were all pretty negative!! However I tried this cigar today in the garden after work and I honestly thought this was a solid cigar, sure it’s nothing that you would go out your way to be running back to the cigar store to get another one straight away but all in all it lit well, burnt even, had a lot of smoke, nice draw and had a nice taste to it so I found it an enjoyable smoke!! I would honestly say it depends what your used to smoking, if your usual cigar is a £20-£30 Cuban then it probably won’t be for you, but if your more in the £5-£10 range then honestly it’s a good cigar for a very good price
