Strange that the tasting note section rates this as a 1/5 for room note. It is one of the main draws of this tobacco and even my kids don't mind it if they smell it when I am puffing in the garden. I have now had a few bowls of this, and it is a very nice aromatic. Warm and inviting, and has a nice "toasty" room note that actually does smell of maple on some pancakes. The tin note is pleasant, and is overall quite a cool smoke, with very little bite unless you puff hard. I'm quite a new smoker but barely noticed any nicotine either, which may or may not be a bad thing for you.

