    Ring Gauge: 50
    Strength: Medium

    Packaging: Bundle of 10
    Vitola: Robusto
    Smoking Time: 30 Minutes

    Wrapper: Ecuador
    Binder: Nicaraguan
    Filler: Condega and Jalapa

  • A mild cigar with herbal and leather hints.

  • Coffee & Hot Drinks

    • Black coffee or Americano – brings out cedar, toast, and nutty notes

    • Cappuccino or latte – the milk softens any spice and enhances cocoa flavours

    • Hot chocolate (not overly sweet) – complements the mild coffee and wood notes

    Spirits

    • Light to medium-bodied rum (e.g. aged Caribbean rum)

    • Irish whiskey or a gentle Speyside Scotch

    • Bourbon with vanilla and caramel notes (avoid high-proof spice bombs)

    Wine

    • Oloroso or Amontillado sherry – excellent with nutty, woody cigars

    • Dry to off-dry Madeira

    • Light red wines like Pinot Noir (avoid heavy tannins)

    Beer

    • Amber ales or brown ales

    • Creamy stouts or porters (not too bitter)
These echo the toasted, coffee-like notes without overpowering the cigar.

  • Food Pairings

    Simple, subtle flavours work best:

    • Dark chocolate (60–70%)

    • Roasted nuts (almonds, hazelnuts)

    • Shortbread or butter biscuits

    • Mild cheeses like brie or aged gouda

  • CONQUISTADOR

Conquistador cigars are a handmade Nicaraguan cigar brand known for combining quality craftsmanship with good value, making them popular among both newer smokers and seasoned enthusiasts alike. Produced in Nicaragua - one of the world’s most respected cigar-growing regions - Conquistadors are crafted using traditional rolling techniques and long-filler tobaccos grown in rich volcanic soils, often wrapped in an elegant Ecuadorian leaf with a Nicaraguan binder. The brand focuses on delivering balanced, medium-bodied flavours at accessible prices, which has helped it carve out a niche for everyday enjoyment rather than high-end boutique status.

Customers say
Customers generally find the Conquistador Robusto to be a surprisingly good cigar for its price, often praised for its solid construction, even burn, and good smoke output. While many enjoy its creamy, mild to medium flavors that can develop complexity, some reviewers have encountered issues with a tight draw or inconsistent construction in certain batches, and its strength can be a bit much for some.
Best suited for those seeking a reliable, well-constructed robusto that offers good value, especially if aged, and who appreciate a medium to full-bodied smoke with evolving flavors.

The 'Budget' cigar that simply isn't. NOTHING about this stick is sold short. A really nice, well rolled wrapper. No flaws or big veins and even the cap was a work of art. Cold draw light and airy with little hints of what's to come. Once lit the draw was spot on for me but I know some may find it a little to easy. It burnt spot on, the ash was dense and sturdy and it only dropped twice!! dead straight until the last inch when it dipped a little. Lots of lovely smoke to carry the flavours. This kicked off very gentle, mild yes, but not boring. I could easily retro hale a whole draw without setting my nostrils on fire or sneezing for England. Subtle and creamy and not a hint of its Nicaragua content! Well blended flavour without any stand out flavours, just a tasty gentle mouthful. Builds slowly for the first two thirds and toward the end of the second third yes, Nicaragua arrived! Expected flavours and spice aplenty but still easy going in fact it wasn't until nearly an inch from the end that it really ramped up needing an extra big swig of coffee! This will pair with anything but I'd steer away from a powerful neat spirit. I had a nice Columbian coffee with mine but kept thinking a Dark & Stormy would of been perfect to match the gentle spice. I have enjoyed the Corona version of this cigar that is on my permanent rotation, the Robusto has just earned a place along side! Try it....

As a morning coffee, relaxing in the garden smoke, I think these cigars are way beyond their price point! For me, enjoying a cigar is all about time and place. This cigar is always a pleasure as my mid morning smoke. I always buy the Gran Toro, and have never been disappointed! Nice and white/ nutmeg peppery on the light up (as most good Esteli cigars are!) Creamy, vanilla notes, with a lovely wafer note through the second third, and a cedar/ oakey end to the cigar. The construction, in my experience, is exemplary! Fantastic even burn, white to light gray ash that holds on well, and I very, very rarely need to touch up. I’ve never had to relight and smoke output is fantastic! I’ve experienced significantly more issues with significantly more expensive cigars from the big name brands! I’d love to know which factory rolls these cigars, but it appears to be a bit of a secret! I have, and will, be buying more of these wonderful cigars!

Conquistador Robusto — the sensible everyday bundle Bought as a bundle of 10 from C.Gars, and this is exactly the sort of cigar a bundle format exists for. A 5” x 50 robusto, Nicaraguan-made, medium strength, under an Ecuadorian wrapper — no drama, no marketing story, just a competent daily smoker at a price that doesn’t make you think twice about lighting one. The wrapper is a smooth, matte tan with a slightly velvety feel and minimal veining. Construction across the bundle was consistent — evenly packed, no soft spots, and the caps cut cleanly. Worth noting that a straight cut suits these better than a V-cut, which can tighten things up unnecessarily. Burn was even, ash held well, and it ran about an hour taking my time. Good smoke output for a mild blend. The real tip is patience: give the bundle six months in the humidor and they settle noticeably — sweeter, rounder, more of that hay-and-mellow-tobacco character. Fresh off delivery they’re perfectly good; rested they’re genuinely enjoyable. This isn’t a cigar that will surprise you, and it isn’t trying to be. It’s a reliable robusto at a price where you can happily smoke one in the garden without ceremony — which is precisely its value.

Well, I must say this is a fantastic cigar. I noticed the build quality of this immediately, it was comparable to the Monte Edmundo I frequently use to smoke. The draw was a tad airy on this particular cigar but that did not affect the enjoyable experience I had. I found this to be on the light side and it was smooth. The ash was a nice light grey and it held a good inch or so before I tapped it off on the ashtray. It lasted about 55 minutes, I am a slow smoker though. I will purchase more of these most definitely.

Given the price, very good smoke. It lacks the complexity and flavour of more premium cigars but the build quality was superb. Burn was very even and produced a lot of smoke. Flavours were mainly creamy with some spice at the end. It lasted around 35/40 minutes. I’m giving it 4/5 due to how affordable it is for those starting out and not wanting to pay £20+.
