Condor Blended Pipe Tobacco 50g Pouch - End of Line

This was my first ever pipe smoked and the bowl was filled with Condor Blended. The smoke at the time of puffing was quite a bit milder than smoking the majority of cigars, however the lingering smell lasted far longer (7 hours later and the smell is still strong). The taste of the tobacco was very mild and I experienced no bitterness or tongue bite. Sadly it also made for a slightly boring smoke as I expected it to develop a bit like a cigar does in the different thirds, but the taste remained the same throughout. It wasn't unpleasant: it was a mild tobacco taste, but little else with no hints of fruits, coffee or coco etc. The burn was very slow indeed. I'd been warned that smoking a pipe quickly, like a cigar, will lead to a bitter and hot smoke. I smoked the pipe for 50 mins and there was still more left in the bottom of the bowl but sadly my free time had run out and I had to put the pipe aside for the time being. Overall this is probably a very good pipe tobacco for newbies, certainly one for those that prefer a milder tobacco. However I normally smoke fairly full bodied maduro cigars (my current favourite is the Macanudo Inspirado Black) so for my next pipe smoke I think I will be looking to try something stronger.

Sweet noticeable aroma of Virginia tobacco, finely cut which a nice shade of golden brown. At the beginning of the smoke it's quite light and sweet, but once you get started it releases a more fuller bodied smoke of earthy tones. Overall a cool smoke with very little to no tongue-bite, which is a pleasant surprise. Michael - C.Gars Ltd
