    V cutters, also known as wedge cutters, look like guillotine cutters, but they cut a wedge into the cigar cap rather than completely removing it.

    Good V cutters can go deeper into the filler than a straight cutter can,
    and some smokers prefer them for cigars of thicker ring gauge.

As much as I hate to leave a negative review, because until this purchase, CGars products have been faultless. Unfortunately this is not the case for this cutter. Now I know it’s a cheap cutter, but it should still be fit for purpose. I bought this as a way to try a V cut, but sadly, all this did was ruin the end of my cigar. The cut was ragged, barely formed a ‘V’ and also cracked the wrapper, creating a less than satisfactory smoking experience. My advice, avoid this and spend a little more if you want to try a V cut.

