Simon Bolivar was one of the great historic figures of the 19th Century who liberated much of South America from Spanish rule.

The Bolivar brand was created in 1902 and is based today in the Partagas factory which is in the heart of Havana.

It is perhaps not surprising that a Habano named after such a powerful figure is blended to match his might. Bolivar is among the strongest, most full bodied of all Habanos. It boasts an unrivalled richness of flavour in its blend of Vuelta Abajo zone filler and binder tobacco that makes it one of the most sought-after marques amongst experienced smokers.

  • The Bolivar Tubos No. 3 is the smallest out of the three sizes but still has the same bold and strong flavours without sacrificing on time With exotic and spicy aromas and full strength balanced with full flavour this cigar is perfect perfect to enjoy with an espresso.

Customers say
Customers generally find the Bolivar Tubos No. 3 to be a strong, full-flavoured cigar, often noted for its spicy profile and consistent burn. While many appreciate its robust character and suitability for shorter smoking times, some find the flavour profile to be less complex or occasionally too strong, with a few experiencing a loose draw or bitterness towards the end.
Best suited for experienced smokers who enjoy a bold, spicy, full-bodied cigar for a 30-45 minute smoke, especially those familiar with the Bolivar brand.

A full flavoured spicy 30 minute smoke. As I am a beginner please hold caution to my inexperienced pallet but my notes are as follows; On the first 1/3 I was getting dark chocolate with a hint of spice on the exhaling followed by a smooth aftertaste. On the 2/3 the taste of spice hit through untill the end, leaving me thinking it would go well with a coffee liqueur or Tia Maria. Hope this helps, I enjoyed it but a less spicey cigar is more to my taste ! For the price I cannot complain. Worth a try with your aftermeal coffee!

A highly unusual and pleasing spicy aroma from the unlit cigar which was also apparent during smoking. Impeccable build and burn. I can't quite put a handle on the aroma...perhaps a seasoned exotic spicy wood, anyway it was very pleasant. Plumes of smoke. A thoroughly enjoyable 3/4hr smoke. My first Bolivar and it has created in me an enthusiasm to explore the brand further. Looking forward to trying some larger gauge cigars from the same maker.

Powerful little cigar, not for the faint hearted or beginner but as a long time smoker who has settled on Bolivar as my brand of choice it is superb. Needs a bit of ageing, the box I bought has 3 years on them and are perfect, a little plume noticeable on the wrappers. Strong and spicy as only Bolivar knows how, perfect burn and a good 45 minutes smoke, highly recommended for those who like a bold smoke without a ridiculous ring gauge.

After having enjoyed the Bolivar Corona Junior I was somewhat disappointed with this. On removing from the tube it smelled terrific and I remember thinking "I'm really going to enjoy this one." However after lighting I was wondering what had happened to all the wonderful Bolivar flavours. The burn was perfect all the way down, the draw was a little too "free" for my liking, but the taste reminded me of a Henri Winterman Half Corona, of which I could have bought five for the price I paid for this. Things improved for the second half, the draw firmed up a little and the flavours improved somewhat but much better value can be had elsewhere, namely in the Inka Rojo Red Tres Petit Corona.
