The fourth batch of 2009 vintage Cask Strength single malt from Benromach has been matured exclusively in first-fill casks.
This Benromach cask strength single malt whisky delivers sweet sherry aromas, dark forest fruits and subtle chocolate with a palate of black pepper, red berries, zesty orange and soft smoke.
To round things off with this Benromach, the whisky was bottled up at cask strength! Satisfying!
Nose: Rich dark forest fruits with clove and cinnamon spice, followed by sweet raspberries and dark chocolate aromas.
Palate: Sherry soaked fruit and subtle smoke lead to a hint of zesty orange peel. Red apple flavours develop alongside subtle cracked black pepper.
Finish: Full bodied and long finish with sweet smoke and red berries.
