BenRiach distillery was built in 1898 by John Duff, and is located near Elgin in Speyside.
The distillery draws its water from an aquifer beneath the distillery and creates both peated and unpeated malts. Somewhat understated, BenRiach’s ability to produce a quality single malt should not be overlooked.
The distillery gained a glowing reputation under the ownership of Billy Walker, and was even awarded Global Whisky Distillers of the Year in 2015.
In 2016 the distillery was sold to Brown-Forman, and a new portfolio was revealed in 2020.
