Lovely cigar. While in Liverpool, I made a flying pilgrimage to the Turmeaus Humidor. This cigar came recommended. It didnt disappoint. Very easy draw. Burnt even, but pay attention to it. See above. Will buy again.


Sporting an impressive box-pressed wrapper, pale camel brown and mottled in colour with the look and feel of the leather binding of a well-worn, well-loved old book, with dark visible veining and the odd shelf-pressed wrinkle. Pre-light aromas, and draw, of baked earth and warm, stewed apricots, with a little almond biscuit. A good clean draw, and thick char line with a pillar of strong pale yellow-grey ash. Tons of naturally sweet brown-sugar spiced biscuit smoke, with a little suede and light ‘green’ wood. Chilli and cucumber on the retrohale (if that’s your thing) which settles into a strong coffee. A really tasty offering all round and perfect with a creamy afternoon coffee or a little light rum


I tend not to explore a lot of new world cigars purely because although I smoke them I prefer Cubans. Having said this little cigar really took me back. I was not expecting it to be as good as it was and dear god its a fantastic cigar. The flavours are brilliant, the burn and construction was dead on and it offer a little bit of a kick too. Im properly impressed with this cigar and I think I smoked through the box far too quickly. Definitely going to be buying more of these. Highly recommended.

