Arran Machrie Moor Cask Strength 1st Edition Whisky - 70cl 58.4%

Although a relative youngster - the distillery started production on the 17th of August 1995 - this distillery has quickly won an army of fans that have been drawn to the quality of the whisky produced in the shadow of the nesting site of a pair of golden eagles.

This is the first cask strength release of Machrie Moor which has been bottled at a healthy 58.4% ABV and has been described as a, "Firecracker of a whisky with a story to tell."

Nose: Big tropical fruit notes, think pineapple and you wont be too far off! Wood smoke, unmistakeable peat and a helping of barrel char while delicate notes of pear and lime linger.
Palate: Developing more fruit notes, including red berry. A further helping of coastal peat continues onto the palate. Add a drop of water and welcome raspberry jam on freshly baked bread.
Finish: A final hint of vanilla and a lasting peaty hum. Classic Arran maritime notes.
