Description

Ardnamurchan's Sep '22 release of Cask Strength.

This release is 50 barrels, 40 of which are peated Bourbon casks, 5 unpeated Bourbon and 5 unpeated Sherry casks, making a spirit that is on the smokier side for this distillery.

This is quite smoky in character, which is an unusual approach for the distillery.

Bottled at a steep 58.4% ABV, a wonderful single malt showing the distillery's character in its purest form.

Tasting Notes

Notes of pear, almond tart and sea salt give way to fresh ginger, tobacco leaf and integrated peat.
