Ardbeg Dark Cove Day 2016 - 70cl 46.5%

A no age whisky full of classic Islay character from peat and warming spices, both of which are perfectly balanced. This whisky was not what I was expecting, although it had all the aspects of an Ardbeg whisky from the rich darkness to the spice, it didn't take over. Those at Ardbeg have definitely got this one right!
