Each Dunhill pipe is hand made, using only the best quality briar available, Only 7% of all pipe bowls cut from this briar are good enough to be a Dunhill Shell Briar Pipe and only 1% make it to be Amber Root.

A little history of Alfred Dunhill:

In 1915, the famous white spot pipe range was introduced when customers had trouble knowing which way to insert the handmade vulcanite mouthpieces, In solution of this Alfred Dunhill ordered white spots to be placed on the upper side of the stem. This would now become a trademark of Dunhill pipes and the “white spot” soon became known as a symbol of quality.
