am very impressed after a poor experience with Master Cigars also out of
the UK
(I think). Look forward to doing business in the future. Jim
Wallace another recent customer and good friend of mine shares similar
tastes and love of cubans - Thanks - Jim Hansen

WES BALLANCEMy name is Wes Ballance, a 22 year old computer science student at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. I bought a box of Padron Anniversary Exclusivos on my 18th birthday and have since contracted an irreversible condition known as Can't Have Too Many Quality Smokes Syndrome. My passion beyond cigars is supporting Arsenal Football Club (an English soccer team for my fellow Americans), a passion which regularly inspires the consumption of choice leaf (the customary thrashing of Man U usually requires the sacrifice of a Montecristo A). My favorite smokes are R&J Churchills untubed and anything Davidoff that's been laid down for a couple of years. Anyone who feels the need to give away Cuban Davidoffs or Partagas 155 Humidors may contact me at any time. |

JEFF SUTTON
I'm 37 years old, born and raised in Lakewood, California, just about 17
miles southeast of Los Angeles City Hall. I still live in the same town, and
plan to stay; the weather is fantastic, and I am never at a loss for
something to do. There are a few fairly good cigar stores within seven or
eight miles or so, and dozens within 20 miles. |

Soon, I had a small desktop humidor and a two cubic foot cabinet humidor
with hundreds of cigars at various stages of ageing, although none ever
seem to rest for more than six months or so. I smoke one to three cigars a
day, of Dominican, Honduran, or Nicaraguan heritage. Some of my favorites
include Arturo Fuente Hemingways and Chateaus, Excaliburs and Padrons,
Partagas and Cupidos. My go-to cigar is the CAO black label corona which are now very hard to get in the USA. Unfortunately, I have had only limited experience with Cuban cigars. I am now laying the ground work in preparation for going into business partnership with two gentlemen I met at The Boardroom, a cozy tobacco store and smoking lounge in Belmont Shore, one of the nicer neighborhoods in Long Beach. I'm looking forward to many, many more years of cigar smoking, and the relaxation and camaraderie it brings. |
ROB KEENEY
My first cigar (1972) was a memorable one. I was an "innocent" 18 year old
chewing, puffing and inhaling a large drug store stogie given to me by my
best friend. Three guys driving around herfing, college just around the
corner...it couldn't get much better, eh? Well it sure got worse, in a
hurry. While we were waiting at a traffic light, I bailed out just as the
light turned green. I must have been just as green as the light! A quick
dash got me to some bushes where I could rid myself of that burning feeling
in my stomach. My first and last cigar I thought. Oh how wrong I could have
been.

I'm now 46, married for almost 16 years, and have 2 great kids. The wife and kids are cigar friendly, too. No cold garages for me! I'm a web developer for a large school district in the Kansas suburbs of Kansas City. Hobbies include ice hockey, shortwave radio and reading ASC. I've met lots of ASCers in my travels and their travels to KC. My only New Year's resolution for 2000 was to buy and smoke better cigars! Believe me, I'm trying my best. |
CHRIS WARDThis is me, I'm Chris 28, I live in London (UK). I work as a Catering Manager in an international accounting firm, based in the City of London, I love my job and the people I work with. I was born in then Umtali, Rhodesia now Zimbabwe and came to England over 7 years ago, how time flies when you're having fun. I love music, films, fine dinning & cigars. I have been smoking cigars for over three years so am still new to it in comparison to some connoisseurs, my favorite is the Partagas 8-9-8, it has a variety of earthy & spicy flavors with a cool draw. I have tried others but always seem to come back to Partagas. Single malt's and a good cigar are my favorite combination to end a Sunday lunch. I have a web site please feel free to visit it - http://www.slapper1.freeserve.co.uk |
SUZIE ANDREWSMy fascination with cigars and pipes began as a young girl. I loved the rich smell of the smoke wafting through the air each time I was in the company of my Uncle Al. This fascination would become the basis of my research and experimentation with pipes, followed quickly by premium and then Cuban cigars.I am a 37 year old native Houstonian and enjoy a full career as a mother and professional mobile Disk Jockey. I smoke 6-10 Mehari's a day, a small cigar made in Holland. My truest pleasure though, is in the 5-7 premium & Cuban cigars that I treat myself to each week. About 2 years ago, a good friend traveling abroad was kind enough to return with a medley of fine Cubans. Following a fabulous meal and with a smooth cup of Java in hand, we wandered out onto the deck and lit up. The enthusiasm that began that evening has grown stronger ever since. The look, the feel, the draw, the taste - I appreciate it all. I now keep my two humidors well stocked with Cubans as well as other premium cigars so that whenever I need to relax, or to celebrate or to cheer myself up, I can always put my hands on just the right smoke. Among my most current favorites are Montecristo, Fuente, Partagas, Bahia and Padron. With a passion for fine smokes, I'm anxiously awaiting an opportunity to participate in C.GARS LIMITED Taste Test Challenge. Yours Truly, Suzie Andrews/[email protected] |
BEN GREISLER
I have been into cigars for about 7 years now and have enjoyed developing my
tastes. I have a tendency to dig down into the roots of whatever I get
involved with and cigars are no exception. I recently went through a change
of life getting engaged, leaving the company that employed me for 8 years,
starting two new business's (computer consulting and a pizza restaurant, but
not at the same time) and moving to a new location. |
JASON BROWNI am Jason M. Brown Sr. a 38 year old born in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA and currently residing in North Carolina, USA. I am a 8 year veteran of the U S Marine Corps and now, own a vending business that serves about 50 businesses. I am a husband of 18 years and have 2 teenage sons. My interests include hunting and shooting as well as archery, and I love to salt water fish and golf, when time permits. I have been an avid Cigar Aficionado for about 2 years. Started smoking cheap American machine made cigars first, but was eventually given a Honduran Punch at a business party, and have been in love ever since ( the wife says that I am a junky). :-) My first box of premium hand made where Dominican H. Upmann Lonsdales. I recall reading tasting notes from other people on various web sites and never understood what a leathery taste was until I got these cigars. They were so mild, but I was absolutely amazed that a cigar could have such a unique taste. Anyway, I have steadily progressed from the weak and mild to the strong and full bodied preference. I usually smoke 2 or 3 cigars per day. I like to start the Morning with a Montisino Belicoso, or Toro along with a strong cup of black coffee. |
|
My afternoon cigar is usually a little
stronger, something in the form of a Double Chateau Fuente, or a Punch
Rothschild maduro maduro. By being a business owner, and spending the
majority of my day on the road, most of my smoking is done while driving,
and alone. Many people say that they don't like to smoke while driving
because they can't concentrate on the complexity of the cigar and the road
together. I think that I prefer having my cigar on the road so that
other people won't be offended by the smoke, and I don't have to be
concerned with their feelings. My preference in taste was, until recently,
strongly towards the Montecristo #2 and the Bolivar Belicoso Finos. I
recently received a care package from a friend who had recommended that I
try the Vegas Robaina Unicos. I don't know if there are tobacco fields in
heaven, or even if the Almighty would touch a cigar made even there, but a
cigar this good isn't smoked, it is experienced! It was very strong right
from the start with no harshness, it was very pleasing to look at, and the
burn was excellent. It had a solid dark grey ash that never flaked. The
flavor kept building all the way to the end, and even after smoking for 90
minutes +, it was a shame to have it end. These cigars are very hard to
get in the USA, and have a healthy price tag. If you get the opportunity
to get your hands on any, load up the humidor and get ready for a treat. I
have been told that the Ramon Allones Specially Selected are equally as
impressive, but for now they will remain on my wish list. They are not
only rare to find, but my government forbids me to have them! :-)/ Attached is a picture of me enjoying a Bolivar, Belicosos Fino that I was enjoying after a unsuccessful Whitetail Deer archery hunt. The person that gave me this cigar stated that it came straight from C.GARS LTD with the compliments of Castro. It's a shame that he and Clinton and Co. can't get along with each other, but I'm quite sure that C.GARS LTD doesn't mind. |
