The Plasencia Original Reserva was a cigar IÂ’d been curious about for a while, especially since Plasencia has such a strong reputation for craftsmanship and sustainability. This blend is made entirely from organically grown Nicaraguan tobacco, and that purity really comes through in the flavor. On the cold draw, I picked up soft notes of cedar, hay, and a touch of natural sweetness. Once lit, the cigar offered smooth, creamy smoke carrying flavors of toasted nuts, wood, and gentle spice.
What I liked most about the Original Reserva was its harmony—it never felt harsh or overpowering, yet it still had enough flavor to keep me engaged. It’s a refined cigar that rewards slow, mindful smoking and showcases Plasencia’s attention to detail.
Overall, this cigar feels like a perfect introduction to the Plasencia range—well-made, flavorful, and balanced, with just the right touch of complexity.
