If there is one particularly famous cigar factory in Havana, it is Partagas. The factory was opened in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagas and it has been making the cigars that bear his name ever since.

A Partagas is immediately recognisable by its deep, earthly flavour. The character of its blend springs from a selection of filler and binder tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone and chosen for their unmistakable richness of flavour and aroma.

The best known of all Partagas is the Serie D No. 4, the robusto size that formed part of the legendary Partagas alphabet series that dates back to the 1930's. In 2005 a Piramide, the Partagas Serie P No. 2, was added to the range, which fast became a cigar of choice amongst lovers of full flavoured Habanos. In 2011 the Serie D No. 5 and the heavy ring gauge Serie E No. 2 extended the alphabet series once again.

Yeeccchh! either I am far too much of a novice to enjoy the flavor, or these things are powerful to the point of being unpleasant. You decide. written by Pete

I dont think you could call these medium strength. They are full strength, full flavour, no mincing smokes. Get a good box, youre lucky, but when good, they are good. Earth/wood/ the usual winos speak but forget that, just smoke it. But, leave it to after that heavy meal. written by asgard

First try in Hong Kong. A rich thick strong smoke. Second try, Kun Lun hotel in Beijing, same story. Bought a box, took them home and now they seem... onlly good, and inconsistent. Worth a try, but dont spend all your $$ on only this. written by Max

A good cigar, but just not great in my opinion. These always seem to leave me desiring something more. One time its a little too "grassy," the next its just not spicy. I dont know what it is about these, maybe just my bad luck, but I dont see what everyone else is seeing in them. written by mmeadows

A medium powered smoke with subtle notes of wood and earth but certainly not decadent. written by ca
