JANUARY SALE - Tomatin 12 Year Old 2008 Rivesaltes Cask - 46% 70cl

Tomatin’s French Collection is a series of exceptional whiskies, which has been 12 years in the making, exhibiting the unique influence imparted by different French wine and spirit casks.

The whisky, distilled in 2008, began its maturation in  traditional Scotch Whisky oak casks before being moved to Monbazillac, Sauternes, Riversaltes and Cognac casks for the final stage of the process, resulting in a magnificent collection of 4 expressions.

All 3 Wine finishes were moved to wine casks for final maturation in July 2017.

Distilled on 19th September 2008, this whisky has spent a final maturation of over 3 years in Rivesaltes, dessert wine casks before being bottled in 2021 at 46%.

Nose: Fresh fruit and nutty notes at the forefront.

Palate: Sweet and bitter flavours spring forward with an underlying barley aroma.

Finish: Velvety smooth with flavours from the palate sticking around for a long while.
