Rowans Creek Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey is a superb small batch whiskey distilled and aged by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers in Bardstown, Kentucky.
Nose: Initially, the nose is sweet with a hint of peach and fresh fruitiness. All in all, there is a slight woody character to the aroma but not overbearing and the oak scents are not prevalent, but a faint minty scent underlies the entire experience.
Palate: A young taste to it. A clove-like spiciness starts at the middle of the tongue and soon gives way to the delicious aged caramel and oak flavours as the bourbon then finally shines through and the initial bite subsides.
Finish: Airs on the long side without being exaggerated. The oak, mint, and caramel remain evident throughout for a very pleasant overall finish.
