As someone who is fairly new to the world of cigars, I recently had the opportunity to try a Cohiba Short, and it was an interesting experience overall. From the moment I opened the pack, I was impressed by the presentation. The cigar felt well made, with a rich aroma that hinted at quality tobacco. For a beginner like myself, that initial scent alone was enough to spark some excitement and curiosity.
Upon lighting, the draw was smooth and the smoke output was satisfying, especially for such a compact cigar. The flavor profile started off rich with earthy notes and a hint of spice that added some character. I could definitely appreciate the craftsmanship and why Cohiba has such a strong reputation among cigar enthusiasts.
That being said, I did find the harshness a bit stronger than I expected, especially toward the middle and final third. As someone who is still developing a palate for cigars, the intensity caught me slightly off guard. While it wasnÂ’t overwhelming, it did remind me that the Cohiba Short is still a bold and flavorful smoke despite its small size.
Overall, I enjoyed the experience and feel it was a good introduction to a stronger, premium cigar, even if it was a touch harsh for a beginner.
