Ardgowan Distillery commenced construction at Bankfoot Farm, Inverkip, on October 23rd, 2023.
In celebration of this significant milestone and the overwhelming support received on their journey, Ardgowan Distillery is thrilled to introduce a special release.
Master Blender Max McFarlane identified the exceptional GlenAllachie cask #900416, distilled in 2008, for this momentous occasion.
This rich and luscious spirit, matured in sherry casks since its inception, reached the perfect balance of wood influence and spirit under Max’s discerning palate.
Bottled at a cask strength of 56.4%, this very limited release comprises only 414 bottles and is exclusively available in the UK.
Nose: Rich and well-aged: candied apple, stewed plums, chocolate brownies and sugared almonds.
Palate: Beautifully balanced with notes of heather, pipe tobacco, and very ripe cherries.
Finish: Long, complex, and smooth, with dried fruit and more chocolate.
