These are a nice surprise. The wrappers on the Diplomaticos range are very different, light coloured and lightly speckled in appearence. Generally well rolled but with just a slightly rough appearence. They are medium bodied with a very interesting range of flavours, quite complex for a perla size cigar. These have almost a mixture of well known flavours reminiscent of Montecristo (mostly) with some slightly more "fruity" notes and a hint of that mellow twangy spice you find in Cohiba. Burn can be a little un-even but not too bad and the draw is usually fine. I rate cigars compared with others of their size so this is one of the best perlas IMO, along with Cohiba Siglo II and Montecristo No.5, it's a question of personal taste. Try some if you haven't already!
