This is the best butane lighter you can buy to light your cigars, superlative build quality, there are two flames, a torch flame and a large natural flame, the torch flame keeps the natural flame going in windy conditions, there's a large adjustment wheel on the base and a nice flip top lid reminiscent of a Zippo to protect the jets, the flames only light when you press the button down, this is a beautiful solid heavy lighter and will last a life time. A natural flame will help you slowly toast not roast your premium cigars. You can obtain a free Sting Ray hide sheaf by registering at Xikar's website.

Got mine today and I'm not in the least bit disappointed. Good solid build. Satisfying clunk when you flip the lid. Aesthetically pleasing. The big adjustment wheel is a good idea, when so many other lighters are more difficult to adjust to the elements.
At first I was reluctant to stop using my Dunhill, which has a lovely natural flame, but is pretty useless outdoors. The Exodus does the job beautifully, and maybe my Dunhill won't get abused so much now.
Like the man says, 'toast don't roast'. Definitely the best way.
If you buy this, go online to Xikar's website and register your lighter. They will send you a free leather pouch.

THE RIGHT WAY TO LIGHT A CIGAR WITH LOGICAL REASONING (1)Without cutting the cigar first, toast the foot using a natural flame i.e. cedar spills or cigar matches but in most cases these are usually impracticable ways unless you are indoors, So the next best thing is a natural flame butane lighter, the Xikar Exodus natural flame butane lighter is perfect for toasting and lighting your cigars instead of cremating the foot with a blow torch sorry torch lighter, Tobacco is a natural product and will burn whether the cap is cut or not, so you can light the cigar foot without even touching the cap just toasting and blowing on the foot will light the cigar, when you are happy the cigar is lit evenly then (2)cut the cap and (3)gently blow through the cigar to purge any charred gases,(4)draw gently and away you go. So why not cut the cap first it's traditional?, Put a drinking straw in your mouth and blow through it, you say easy and it is, but put a cigar tube in your mouth and blow, it wont let you, so pretend your breath are charred gases part of the lighting process and the uncut cap the cigar tube hopefully you get the point and toast don't roast your cigars.
