igust somked one and is very nice smoke,took me about 1h30mins to smoke.

Purchased 10 of these because I felt that they had the necessary gravitas to impress a non-cigar smoker. Had a get together with a couple of pals and had to jettison several due to cracked wrappers peeling from the cigar. The rationale of buying these at five pounds a stick was one of frugality. The fact that I had to discard 50% of the order meant that I would have been better getting either of a little pack of Montes or some of the truly epic Torano Robusto 50 Year Anniversaries. All in all a lesson learned.

To say that this cigar is displeasing is an understatement. Purchased this because I am a thoroughbred cheapskate and wanted something to pass around. The number of cigars I had to discard from the two packs of five I purchased meant I was effectively paying the price of Cohibas once the wastage was factored in. Save the money on the pack and buy a couple of reasonable cigars you would enjoy smoking. these are a complete waste of money

Bought these on a recommendation was a bit hesitant at first but when they came they look great smelt and felt top class, the smoke was excellent very easy draw taste was good very earthy and woody, never went out in the whole hour plus it took to smoke even when leaving it for 5/6 minutes. So all in all a very good smoke at a good price i will be keeping a few of these in my humidor they make a good after dinner smoke. Regards Brads form Lancaster, Lancs

To me, this wasn't as inspiring as the Host Hamilton which I was quite surprised about given the fact that this is the larger cigar and normally that's my preference. It was by no means "bad" and had the perfect look, smell, draw and burn characteristics which I've described in the Host Hamilton review, I just felt that after having smoked the Host Hamilton, this was kind of a let down. As a cigar in its own right and had I not the previous night smoked the Host Hamilton I might have a higher opinion of the Metropolitan University (which for some reason I seem to always want to call "open university") but for my tastes and for the money, I don't think this cigar holds a candle to the other. The flavour is well balanced an quite consistent but didn't strike me as being any different to other cigars in the price and size range. I wouldn't discourage anyone from buying it because you may notice something I didn't or I may even have just had a "bad one" (which I doubt) but if you wanted my honest opinion, save yourself 50p and go for the smaller but more satisfying Host Hamilton.
