I have read other peoples review of this cigar, they must of not got the same RJ's as me. This is great cigar, it depends how you smoke it to get the taste.Puff on it like mad and it will be hot and tastless. Give it time and enjoy then the tastes are what you find, each to their own, I enjoy all of the RJ brand.BUT you can not beat a good Cuban Cigar what ever the brand

Romeo y Julieta, Churchill
A friend bought me one of these on my birthday, nice biscuits i thought,
Vodka and Cigars. The cigar was a perfect, from begining to end. My friends was a bit different and got blocked halfway through and died an early death, Not a problem as he had bought a 3 box and was happily puffing again.
This cigar took up about three hours of bliss on a perfect day, my wife happened to be abroad.
I would recommend these to anyone with time on their hands

A bit overpriced when considering some of the better Churchills available. With that said, these are still very fine smokes, and should not be overlooked as such.

A mild churchill, ideal for someone who likes big cigars that are not very strong. Recomended for begginers in the coronas and big coronas categories.

Er. Um. Ah. Well. Three stars. Somehow you`d expect something more for the price. Really, only slightly more complex than a Number 2 Tubo and - somewhat of an inferior smoke to it, to be honest. It`s one of those cigars you start off with high expectations of, then labour through - doesn`t jump up and grab you like it should. Half way through I was already looking at it with deep suspicion. On the positive side, it`s a good Churchill for the beginner - the ideal "wedding cigar" (or would be if the price was lower) but- when you look down and it`s burning at a 45 degree angle and you`re having to saw your way through a cigar you`re not particularly enjoying.. it`s not going to make it onto the top ten list. Five stars for anticipation, three for effect, one for price. Sorry, RyJ, have to do better than this !

Recently came back to these after discovering some very old ones in a tobacconists where they had NO idea of the age - or the price. ;-))))))) Interestingly, mine had the Prince of Wales bands, not the standard gold one. I`m pretty puzzled about that, but maybe someone can explain to me if RyJ tubo Churchills ever had the old "Large Romeo y Julieta" band on them ? All I can say is that these tubos VASTLY improve if they`re left for several months in a humidor.
Remember. Tubos are made more for the mass market, not for connoiseurs, and this is not designed to be a stogie which offends members of the public who buy these for birthdays and weddings. For a light cigar, these are a very pleasant, subtle smoke but the occaisional dry tubo can make for an unpleasant experience. Draw can be more than a little on the tight side, making the cigar taste even lighter - did someone say "Silk Cut" ? I`d certainly not pass down an RyJ Churchill if one was offered around, and the few I have in my

Very mild, tarred up before half-way resulting in a hard draw with little smoke, and had to cut again. Untaxing.

Its got the name but not the consistency. More miss than hit in my books and not as good as the Punch alternative by a long chalk. When they are good they are a nice middle of the road average smoke.

A mediocre Julieta 2 with far less subtle complexity than its untubed sibling on a weak body. Save the tube to transport LGCs and Punch in your coat pocket!
