If you can get your hands on a few aged R y J Belicosos, then you are in for a bit of a treat.Having been a long time fan of these,I have been disappointed with the releases for some time.Pre 2000,these were, earthy, spicy, woody little numbers, with depth and blend complexity, but over the past few years the quality has fallen.Still worth a try though if you are fond of the milder blends.

A medium - mild bodied cigar. The constructon was good, but the wrapper seemed a bit dry. There are notes of leather , friuit (berries), and long spicey finish. A nice cigar, but a bit mild for my liking.

Always heard these could be harsh. Pleasantly surprised to find cedar and spice flavors in good balance with the firm productive draw. Fun to give away.

As a fan of R&J I tend to like their cigars almost instantly. Yet, something is missing from this one. The flavour is somehow held back and the notes of fruit and spice are not at all powerful. I found it too light for its own good.

Decent daytime campana finished in a rather rough-hewn wrapper and characterized by mild flavors.

Had one of these at a party tonight and have to admit was a little disappointed. It lit easily and with great promise, and that was as good as it got.
The draw was very difficult and it immediately began to burn unevenly, and the rich combination of creamy and woody flavours I had experienced in my first few R&Js was conspicous by its absence.
I would rate myself as a novice smoker, but I do try to be objective about the cigars that I try, and this Im afraid just didnt make the grade.
Im giving this particular stick a 2, although I know RJs are generally worth more than that.
Maybe these would be better in the daytime.

A decent stick that is a little too light for the size. The light flavor would be alright if it had a complexity to go along with it. Unfortunately, I dont feel this cigar has much of either.

Try as I might, I cant find a R&J that I like. Bill Cosbys grandfather was right..."cigars are vegetables", and this was like smoking a rutabaga.
