El Rey del Mundo Choix de L Epoque (Regional Edition 2009) Cigar - 1s

Good solid construction, burn was slightly inconsistent, slight canoeing but rectified with a little help from the lighter. The flavours emerging from the first third were leathery with a light, roasted bitterness. After halfway these developed to tannin flavours with a tangy mouthfeel and light peppery taste. I smoked this with a 10 year old Aberlour malt but felt that it would have been better complimented by a brandy, sweet px sherry or as the previous reviewer suggested a sweet coffee. I was slightly disappointed as the flavour didn't match my palate and taste. A little too bitter for me, I like a cigar with sweetness. Woody aroma. No doubt this is a good cigar if it matches your tastes.

A great looking cigar and construction, with a firm pre-draw. Going agaist here the grain here, the flavour profile just didn't match my preference. I mainly got leather, some spiciness, and a slight dark roasted bitterness. To tame these flavours, I had a mug of normal coffee (milk/1 sugar), which made it more palatable for me.

What else is there to say? A sublime cigar that look like they should be smoked by royalty. I certainly feel like a king when im smoking them with my good friend. Excellent flavours with a perfect amount of smoke. Do not hesitate to try.

I agree with the other 2 reviews. Quite an enjoyable little cigar with spicy and even fruity taste and attractive appearance. Worth considering..

One of my first El Rey del Mundo cigars and this one definitely didnt disappoint. Excellent construction and flavours, great draw and size/length for anytime smoke between 30-40 minutes. Fantastic smoke, will definitely be ordering more shortly
