Montecristo No. 4 - 1s
Montecristo No. 4 - 1s

Medium flavour - 5 1/8" length (129mm) x 42 ring gauge. Very fine cigar, typical Cuban taste/smell/draw. Strong and serious, it is without any doubt a big Habano in a small body. Single cigar.

This cigar was an absolute pleasure to smoke, it burned evenly and the draw was good with good construction. These cigars are perfect to smoke at any time at any place and are extremely good for the price, a typical Havana cigar. However, the cigar did get very bitter a little earlier than I had expected, into the early last quarter. In addition, the cigar did go out a few times and the no 3 is still slighly better. I do however highly recommend this cigar to anyone looking for a great smoke I am sure that you will enjoy it and also try the no 3.

The cigars by which I benchmark all others. Ive smoked probably 50 or so of these, in the 11 months Ive been a proper cigar smoker. Ive only ever had 2 bad ones. Lovely spicy, rich flavour and strength, perfect for all occasions. I love em! written by David M Smith

I had to come back, and do a second review on this smoke. On 7/12/02 I reviewed this cigar which, at the time, I thought very little of. However, my opinion has changed! Bad cigar, bad year, etc...I dont know, but i smoked another about 2 weeks ago, and it was great. Maybe the quality control is back! In any event the cigar starts off with a wonderful leathery taste, and builds to the middle when an earthy/chocolaty flavour emerges. A really great cigar! written by Michael
