Hoyo de Monterrey Grand Epicure (Limited Edition 2013) cigar - Box of 10

With a chunky 55 gauge and a beautifully oily maduro wrapper, this is not your common-or-garden Hoyo de Monterrey! Sharing the same dimensions as the RYJ Wide Churchill, the heavy gauge allows for a more full bodied version of the blend. With a firm but manageable draw, the cigar opens with mild woody notes (and a touch of spice on the nose) which steadily intensifies as the smoke progresses. Around the half way point it is joined by a subtle dark chocolate flavour which remains until the end. It may also surprise you occasionally with hints of red fruit emerging intermittently in the final third and leave you with a mild but classic coffee finish.
