Bolivar Britanicas Cigar (UK Regional Edition - 2012) - Box of 10

Not a straightforward like/dislike because of the same issue you will find in the reviews of the singles of this cigar. First out of the box was magnificent, a real pleasure to cheer me up with this cold wet weather doing its best to bring me down. Lovely rich flavour, plentiful white smoke with a great room note. I'll spoil myself and have another the next day, and so I did, to find the thing plugged and my cheeks going like bellows just to keep the damn thing alive. Such disappointment t after the previous days herf. Okay if you enjoy a fine Cuban cigar, hand made and artisan then the odd rogue will crop up, reminds you this is a crafted product. I decided to have another the following day. Same box and yes, same issue, only this one was not so much plugged as welded shut! It was not so much hanging on to see if it would open even a little, it was turn blue trying to tug even a hint out of the beast. I had to reluctantly admit defeat and abandon it completely. So, do I like this cigar-reluctantly I have to say in spite of, so far, two of the three attempted were disasters it is a bit like an Alfa romeo, you know she will be in the garage most of the time you have her, but you love her still, so yes. Beautiful shape and great wrapper. Wonderful rich flavour, fantastic aroma, but her failure rate is a bit too high for the price of her.....

I bought a fair selection of singles for an upcoming holiday, around 25 all in from Cuban to New World. With some fairly big disappointments behind me I tried this for the first time. Although I may have 'paired' it a little early with a few G&Ts it was quite honestly the nicest cigar I've ever tasted. Everything about it was right, flavour, strength, construction and draw. No more wasting time and money on inferior cigars for me.

WOW This cigar is worht the wait. Smooth is all I can say really...... Don't delay get a box NOW

I could hardly wait to open the beautifully presented limited edition box. I sat down with a nice glass of Merlot and enjoyed my first Bolivar Britanicas. This Cigar is a very nice size and shape with slight taper on the top and foot. The aroma is wonderful with a beautiful oily wrapper and the flavours just got better and better. I am saving the rest of these beauties for special occasions!
