This bottling of Wild Turkey has been aged for at least 6 years before coming out of the barrel at 109 proof where it was then ever so slightly diluted before bottling at 101 proof with plenty of pep at 50.5% ABV.
Wild Turkey's master distiller notes that unlike some of its competitors, "We make Wild Turkey the old-fashioned way. It's a totally natural process which takes substantially more time and money, but we believe it's worth it."
Nose: Quite subdued, yet throughout the nose is a beautiful toffee sweetness with notes of toasty oak, vanilla and a touch of zesty citrus and butterscotch.
Palate: Full and rich with notes of cigar box sweetness, pepper caramel with notes of honey on granary toast and a little melted butter.
