Buffalo Trace’s stunning bourbon William Larue Weller, named after the man famed for being the first to create “wheated bourbon”, in which the spicy rye grain is substituted for wheat in the mashbill.
Nose: Oily, rich. Marzipan, cereals, vanilla and cinnamon spice.
Palate: Heavy oak, spice, burnt toast.
Finish: A touch sweet on the finish, more intense oak and cereal rich.
