Beaujolais is to the south of Burgundy. A 'Villages' wine is one step up from a normal Beaujolais but not considered as good as a wine from a named village like Fleurie. BUT remember that a good grower's Villages is often better than a poor Fleurie.....
The 20 hectare estate is based in Pommiers and run by Vincent Fontaine
2016 was another great year for Beaujolais - the third in a row.
The wines have intensity and body to match the lively freshness of the Gamay grape.
Pairs well with light meat dishes (roasts, but also cold meats, salami and hams)
